Hardware Ranch

Winter in Cache Valley isn't complete without a trip to Hardware Ranch, at least it isn't in our family. This year Grandma Sherri, Papa Dave, and Michael came up to see the elk with us. My Dad had never been to see the Ranch and I think Michael was too young to remember the last time he went as a kid. So we bundled up, and if you know me well you know how much I love the cold (not so much), and headed up to the Ranch.

I know my parents are not going to be very happy about this picture being on the blog, but I think it is cute. Isabelle wouldn't come and sit by Kevin and I she had to be with them.

Here is my cute brother Michael with Lillian and I. She was interested in the elk, but she was more interested in the horses pulling the sleigh.

Seeing all of the big bull elk got Kevin really excited for an elk hunt in the future, whenever that my be... It will be interesting when he does get an elk or a deer with Lillian and Isabelle. Lillian asked me after the deer hunt why Daddy and Uncle Todd needed guns when they went deer hunting. I said, "Do you really want to know? It is kind of sad." She said she wanted to know so I told her why and she said, "Oh! That is very sad!"
Last week she wouldn't believe me when I told her we eat animals...hunting will be very interesting with two little girls.
This is our attempt at a family picture with the horses that pulled our sleigh. The girls were enamoured by them but by the end of the ride I think they just wanted to be done. We had a great time though! If you haven't gone or if it has been awhile, Hardware Ranch is a great winter activity.
Grandma, Papa, and Michael stayed that night and we had the funnest time! We ate and ate and ate and watched the Utes win the Sugar Bowl ( I know I am way behind on my blog). It was a great game.
In the morning they couldn't leave without a game of Blokus. Blokus is very fun game, but it also can bring out the worst in all of us. There was some name calling, I can't lie, I was involved. I did win one game and my last piece was the 1 square, which is like a super win, so I made Kevin take a picture; I know I am a little pathetic.
By the way, I was still in my pajamas so I look a little scraggly. And no, I am not pregnant, I know my jacket makes me look it.

We didn't make it to the ranch this year, but I kind of wish we would have! I just think Lillian and Isabelle are so beautiful.

That ranch looks like lots of fun. My boys would love it. I am wondering the same thing as Lillian why Kevin and Todd take guns hunting, because they have yet to use them!!!! :)

We really need to take the kids there. I know they would love it. Love Blokus! The only time I used all my pieces was when I was only playing against 2 other people!
