Isabelle's First Day of Preschool

The day after Lillian's first day, it was Isabelle's first day of preschool. She has been waiting for this day since Lillian's first day of preschool.

She just learned how to ride a 'tippy' bike, without training wheels and she was determined to ride it to school. After Lillian learned how to ride a bike without training wheels Isabelle decided she was going to learn how to ride one too; and she did. So Lillian and Isabelle learned how to ride a bike within months of each other. Which is great because now they can ride together.

How cute is she with her Dora backpack and her pigtails?

It was a little sad to send to send my other baby to preschool, but then I went home and I was all alone and it was nice. I went to the store all by myself; and that was when I realized how good school is.

Lillian's First Day of Kindergarten

My baby started kindergarten! I can't believe she is already old enough to go to elementary school! I swear I just had her. The night before her first day I was looking at her hands and her feet and thinking that it wasn't too long ago that I was looking at them for the first time; squeezing them and kissing them. And now I'm sending her off to the big and scary world of kindergarten.
Look at her backpack! It's as big as she is. She looks so little, but still all grown up and ready to take on the world of kindergarten.

Doesn't she look so cute?

After we got her into her classroom she was like, OK mom, you can go now. She has some of her friends in her class so she felt comfortable immediately.

Isabelle missed her sister after we dropped her off. But her first day was the next day...

Pineview & Boating Fun

The girls and I went up to Pineview for a day of boating with my Dad, Michael and Sarah and their friends. We sent Kevin off to work and went water skiing. It was so fun.
My Dad driving the boat. It was a beautiful day for water skiing and the lake was deserted; it was perfect!
Sarah just learned to wakeboard and already she's awesome at it. Look at that air!

OK just look at that water, it's glass; absolutely perfect.

I've become a little bit of a wimp since becoming a mother. But I can still get a little air on the wakeboard.
The girls adore Sarah. They wanted to be right by her the entire day.

Michael doing the slalom ski.

Michael, Sarah, and their friends went on a 'wild' water rocket ride. The girls were a little scared for their 'kiddie' ride after seeing the wild one.

We finally convinced Lillian to get on the water rocket and she loved it. We went super slow and they had tons of fun. After the kiddie ride I convinced Michael to stay on and go on a wild ride with me. It was so fun!
What a great day! I guess this is one of the perks of being a stay at home mom. You get to take off and play every once and a while.

CAMPING

After a busy summer of no camping we decided to finally take out the trailer and brave 'the great outdoors'. We took the girls hiking a little before we went camping. We started singing 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. The song scared Lillian because it made her think of bears. Isabelle was walking around singing 'We're not scared! We're not scared!' While Lillian was scared to death. She asked why we went into the mountains and Kevin said to enjoy nature. She said, 'There's nature by our house. Why did we have to come all the way into the mountains!' It was all very funny. Isabelle was singing at the top of her lungs, Lillian was whimpering and clenching my hand, Kevin was feeling like he was a failure as a father, and I was laughing. How could you not? Needless to say we were a little apprehensive about the whole camping thing.
They loved the whole camping thing; thankfully. I don't know what Kevin would have done if they didn't.
We tried biking with them but it turns out, it's hard to pull a bike trailer up a mountain trail. So we ended up walking...
Our lovely hike up 'steep canyon' turned out to be incredibly steep; like crazy steep.
The girls found a butterfly that landed on Kevin's stomach.
This is at the end of our hike.
