Easter

I know it is weeks past Easter and that I am way behind on the blog, but here it is anyway...

On the Saturday before Easter our nephew Spencer was baptized in Pocatello. So the Friday before, Todd and Mick came up to stay with us. Mick and I left the kids with the men (yea!!) and went shopping. It was tons of fun. We were trying to redecorate her family room. It is so much fun to spend someone else's money! On Saturday we traveled up to Pocatello to Spencer's baptism. We try to get the cousins all together to take a picture when we are with each other. Sometimes it goes better than others...
We had big Easter egg hunt for the kids with tons of eggs. Which means lots of candy for mom and dad! I love Easter candy, a little too much I'm afraid!
Kris had an Easter egg hunt just for the adults after the hunt for the kids. It was tons of fun. I think we should make it a tradition. She even had prizes. Kevin and I took home 3 out of the 4 prizes. What can I say we are serious egg hunters!
On Easter Sunday the girls were so excited to get their baskets full of even more candy. We seriously just finished off the last of the Easter candy, weeks after Easter.

Lillian got a bike from the Easter bunny and Isabelle (but really Kevin) got a basketball hoop. He has definitely had more fun with it than they have.

We saved the Easter egg dyeing for Sunday.

We even tried glitter eggs this year, they turned out really pretty. Lillian didn't want me to break any of the eggs!

Pictures of the Girls

My good friend Courtney took these pictures for me of the girls in their Easter dresses. I am so happy with how the pictures turned out. Thanks again Courtney!

I love this picture of them together. It so captures their personalities and the relationship they have with each other.

Lillian's Dance Recital

Lillian had her first 'real' dance recital. She was so excited. Ten days before it started she started asking me almost every day if her dance recital was that day. Finally the day of the recital came and she was so excited to dance on the stage at the 'Rec Center' (what she calls Sky View).
Lillian was so excited to be able to wear makeup and to get her hair done all fancy. All the glamour is right up her alley, she loved it. The day after the recital she was telling me what color of eye shadow she wanted to wear that day. Yea, I don't think so honey.

Isabelle wants to do everything Lillian does. The recital was no exception, so we put some makeup on her too and did her hair, what little she has, as pretty as we could. I think they both look adorable.
Before and during the recital all the girls sat on the stage and watched the others perform, which was kind of fun for them and for us to see them. Here is Lillian with her cute friend Avery.

Lillian and the other girls did such a good job. I have to admit I was worried how well they would actually dance but they did really well. Plus they are the cutest little things dancing up on stage.

Here is Lillian and Avery hugging after their dance. So I haven't really been to a dance recital since I danced like 100 years ago so I wasn't familiar with the giving of flowers. I ran into my friend Hayley, along with many other people, who had flowers for their daughters. I knew Lillian would notice if a lot of other girls got flowers and she didn't, so I made Kevin run to Lee's to get her some flowers. I was really glad I did because she LOVED them. She totally thought she was the princess.
Isabelle was really good for the first part of the recital. She was totally mesmerized by the dancers. Then she decided she needed to be dancing on stage with Lillian. She kept trying to run up to the front. She put Lillian's hat on and was dancing around the aisle all during the rest of the recital. When the recital was over she couldn't get up on stage fast enough.
As soon as we got home Lillian took her costume off and Isabelle put it on and danced around. I think she is so adorable.

I know there are a lot of pictures, what can I say, I'm a proud Mama.
