Lillian had her first 'real' dance recital. She was so excited. Ten days before it started she started asking me almost every day if her dance recital was that day. Finally the day of the recital came and she was so excited to dance on the stage at the 'Rec Center' (what she calls Sky View).
Lillian was so excited to be able to wear makeup and to get her hair done all fancy. All the glamour is right up her alley, she loved it. The day after the recital she was telling me what color of eye shadow she wanted to wear that day. Yea, I don't think so honey.
Isabelle wants to do everything Lillian does. The recital was no exception, so we put some makeup on her too and did her hair, what little she has, as pretty as we could. I think they both look adorable.
Before and during the recital all the girls sat on the stage and watched the others perform, which was kind of fun for them and for us to see them. Here is Lillian with her cute friend Avery.
Here is Lillian and Avery hugging after their dance.
So I haven't really been to a dance recital since I danced like 100 years ago so I wasn't familiar with the giving of flowers. I ran into my friend Hayley, along with many other people, who had flowers for their daughters. I knew Lillian would notice if a lot of other girls got flowers and she didn't, so I made Kevin run to Lee's to get her some flowers. I was really glad I did because she LOVED them. She totally thought she was the princess.
Isabelle was really good for the first part of the recital. She was totally mesmerized by the dancers. Then she decided she needed to be dancing on stage with Lillian. She kept trying to run up to the front. She put Lillian's hat on and was dancing around the aisle all during the rest of the recital. When the recital was over she couldn't get up on stage fast enough.
I know there are a lot of pictures, what can I say, I'm a proud Mama.

How cute. Lillian did look like a princess! I really have no idea about all that dance stuff. :)
I am excited to come up this Friday. Hopefully we can find some things for my house!
So cute! Thanks for the tip about the flowers...I'll have to remember that one.
That is so cute! I love watching them dance, but do you find that it's a lot of work for not a lot of dancing? Or is that just me?
I just can't stand the cuteness! I think you need to send those pictures to someone, I think she could be a little model, seriously. It's so fun to see little girls love doing girly things. I already want to paint little Addie's toes, is that wrong of me? Love the pictures!
Oh my gosh those pics are so darling. I know I've told you a hundred times, but your girls are soooo beautiful! They are destined to be child models, so shabby apple here you come. I seriously cannot believe what cute pics those are. I am so afraid when we get to Cate's dancing days, she's already hopelessly girly. She is going to eat it up.
