Delta - A Little Taste of Spring

We were so tired of the cold weather a few weeks ago that we decided to head down south and a little west to visit Todd and Mick in Delta. Kevin was dying to golf and Todd was holding his first tournament of the year at his golf course, so Kevin decided to play in it and the girls and I tagged along.
We had such a great time and had such good weather. The girls loved playing with their cousins. We could hardly get them to come inside it was so nice outside. I didn't want to come inside either it was so nice. Isn't that just the look of pure happiness on Lillian's face? Finally sunshine!

Mick and I took 5 kids under the age of 4 to the park. Are we a little crazy? It is very possible. We had children that were ages: 4, 3, 2, 1, and 4 months. Yep, crazy.
Thank goodness for the Sun Chips. No, really they were very well behaved. That is except for Isabelle...
She looks beautiful and innocent but she is full of fire that one. Last year at Mack Park she fell from the very top landing on the playground. It was seriously one of the scariest things for me as a mother. She has absolutely no fear. So as you can imagine I am a little overprotective of her now that I know what can happen to her. There was a huge slide at this park and she kept trying to climb up and go down. I had to chase her up and then go down with her because I was scared she would fall. She really needs a healthy dose of fear. You would think a fall off the playground would do that.
P.S. Any ideas of how to get rid of a most beloved binky? For both mom and baby. I have to admit I also love the binky, but she is almost 2 and I guess it is getting time to give it up, any thoughts?

We really had high hopes of this picture turning out, but you can't really see the kids very well. Oh well, it's still pretty cute.
Thanks again Todd and Mick for all the fun. You have such a great family and we had a wonderful time!

Maybe we should move south! What is up with the perpetual winter? Seriously it's almost April...come one.

Cute pictures of the girls below, and I love the dresses. Did you order them?

How was the dance recital? I'd love to see pictures.

I don't even know where Delta is, but if there's sun I want to go! I hope your girls win the Shabby Apple thing- you already know I think Lillian could have a career in modeling!

Oh, I wish we had sun here! Heck if it would just warm up I could handle the rain but I hate all this snow! Your girls are soooo cute! They are very photogenic!
So with the binkie, I had a sister-in-law who cut the tip off and that worked for her girl. Guess it is worth a try!

Very cute pics, looks like you had fun in Delta! As for the binkie... a couple weeks after Parker turned 2 we talked about how he is a big boy now and that big boys don't need binkies anymore. And then we had him throw it in the garbage. I did it in the morning so that day was kind of long because he didn't take a nap, but by that night he was exhausted and went right to sleep. Then the next day was kind of the same thing, but he did nap and then he didn't ask for it again. Every kid is different so it's hard to say what will work, but there's an idea and just be grateful it's not her thumb. Good luck!

I'm all about cutting the tip off the binkie and telling them it's broken, but still letting them have it. They try to suck on it for a minute and realize the fun is gone and spit it out. It works great!
