On Christmas Eve we went down to Bountiful to have the
Killen Christmas Party, or at least one of the
Killen Family Christmas parties; what can I say? We like to celebrate things, especially Christmas.

It was a pillow pet Christmas. It seems like it was a pillow pet Christmas for a lot of other people. I think they were the 'thing' this year. They are cute and all but really I don't understand the fascination. Oh well, the girls were thrilled!

My parents give us a game every year. This year it was Sorry! Have you played lately? It is actually really fun.
Even Annie got to open a present early.

Of course we had to make gingerbread houses, it's tradition. The men bowed out this year so it was up to the women to make them beautiful. Isabelle's resembled a fishing lodge. On whole side was covered in Swedish Fish. Kevin was proud.

In the early evening we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Forbes' house. Their house, on Christmas Eve, it's just the best. The feel, the smells, the warmth, the love, the laughter, the excitement; all of it added together makes it just feel magical, on the most magical night of the year.

Of course we have to act out the nativity. Bless my poor family for continuing the tradition. We have to for the girls and you can't have a nativity with just two little girls; you just can't!

Doesn't Isabelle make an adorable Mary? I mean seriously?

Mary and the Angel, what a beautiful pair.

I mean look at us. Aren't they just the best? Even my Mom and Aunt Jennifer stepped up this year.

Doesn't Lillian just look angelic? She relished her role, can you tell?

Isabelle took her role as the mother of Jesus very
seriously, even after the nativity was over.

She even played the piano and sang to the baby.

Before we headed home to wait for Santa the girls changed into their new pajamas.

Joy, that is what is on their faces, pure and simple. The joy of being a child on Christmas Eve; it's just the best.
