Every Christmas Eve Kevin's family likes to go bowling. This year we went on the day before Christmas Eve, which was also the day of the Mullen Family Christmas party. Can I tell you, we bowl like once, maybe twice a year, so when we do go at Christmas time it can be a little scary...

At least the girls can use the metal guider thing and bumpers. Kevin and I are on our own!

Here is part of the Mullen crew after our bowling afternoon. I love that we have kept this tradition alive, the kids really look forward to it; even if some of their parents stink at it!
After our bowling adventure or misadventure on my part, we went to Melissa and Lynn's church to play minute to win it. It is not a Mullen family get-together without a little competition, whether it's playing rummy for the dishes or betting on a basketball game! Bring it on!

Lillian represented our family in the M&M sorting game. She was the youngest and she did awesome! Plus we got to eat them when she was finished.

We had to blow up a balloon and then use the air in it to knock over cups on a table; much harder than it sounds, I know from experience. Here is Todd blowing up his balloon.

The younger kids had to keep a balloon up in the air without letting it touch the ground. Isabelle stepped up to the challenge with her balloon; yellow of course!
Yes, that is Kevin with
pantyhose on his head...

And Lynn too...competition makes men do strange things.

So the men in the
fam had their own 'game' they had to do. They had to start at one end of the gym and run to the other side of the gym, then eat a c
aramel covered apple. Sounds fun right. Right.

Except that the apple turned out to be an onion!

Here is the entire Mullen clan, all together!

After the fun of minute to win it we went over to Melissa and Lynn's house for dinner and gifts.
The kids made wreaths and candy canes with beads while we got dinner ready. Isabelle is showing off her colorful creation.
