4-H and the Fair

Lillian had a craft/cooking group this summer that she did with some of her friends. Jenni (one of the mom's) found out that we could make it into a 4H group. Being kind of a city girl, I thought 4H had to deal horses and livestock. Who knew it was crafts and cooking as well? You would not believe all that 4H is.
Lillian and a few of her friends were able to demonstrate how to make orange julius in front of the judges at the fair. They did a really good job. I'm biased I know but I was impressed! Lillian also entered in brownies, no-bake cookies and this button flower craft in the fair, cute huh?
For their excellent demonstration of making orange julius they got a 1st place blue ribbon. Oh my, they were so excited!
After seeing all of Lillian's 4H entries we went to see the other parts of the fair with our friends, the Stites. We even ran into Big Blue! Lillian and Ava were the only ones gutsy enough to stand by him though.
