Isabelle's Birthday, May 2011

My beautiful little baby Isabelle is 4! I know you've heard mothers say, "I just can't believe they are ..." but I really can't. When I was pregnant with her my due date was June 4 and I said, 'you know I think I'm going to have her on May 25th." Everyone was like right, OK Candace, whatever. I did whatever I could to make her come and come she did, on May 26 at 1 AM. Did I tell them or what? She came so fast once she decided to come that I was a little in shock so Kevin held her for a little while after she was born. Once I held her I felt such a connection; we knew each other, we'd been through a lot together, and now we were meeting face to face. I just can't believe that happened 4 years ago. At our house birthdays are so exciting that we just can't wait to celebrate. As soon as we wake up we open presents. We've waited an entire year, why wait any longer?
Kevin made the requested blue pancakes for breakfast. I don't know why she wanted blue pancakes? Something special for the occasion I guess.
I'm 4!
I didn't take pictures of her birthday lunch, but we went to McDonald's with Kevin. She loved it, and you should do what makes you happy on you're day, right?
She wanted fruit pizza for her birthday cake. I was happy to oblige. She also wanted Dora on her cake so she and her house are sitting amongst all the fruit. It was delish, good choice Isabelle.
Isabelle wanted a Dora birthday party, so a Dora birthday party we had. First the girls colored in their own Dora coloring packet...
Here is Isabelle with the treat bags and cupcakes. She was very excited to hand them out. With all the girls who came to the party. Aren't they all so cute? (Lillian is wearing a birthday hat because they celebrated her birthday at school. May is definitely the birthday month around here.)
Our neighbors, the Taylor's, just got this little puppy named Penny. Isn't she adorable? Katie brought it when she came to pick up her daughter Madilyn from the party. The girls all hold her like a baby.
Well the party was a big hit with Isabelle. It was fun to celebrate her and her special day. We love you Isabelle.
Now onto Lillian's birthday...
