RAGNAR 2011

I ran Ragnar. Wow. What a fun, crazy, hard race. Here is my van: Kevin Wood, Joey, Courtney, Mick, Me, and Katie, at the starting line at USU. Courtney was runner 1 and so she left from here.

I was runner 3 so my first run was in between Hyrum and Paradise; it was a beautiful run. Thankfully it wasn't too hot for June, just in the mid-70s; we were so grateful for that!

Kevin left from work to come cheer me on during my first race. It was so fun to have him there. The great thing about Ragnar is that you have people cheering you on during your runs, well except during the night runs. That is really encouraging and it makes it fun.

Courtney, Katie, and Joey. Katie was runner 4 so she was waiting for me to hand over the bracelet.

Kevin and the girls came all the way to Kamas to see me run my last leg. How sweet are they? I was so so tired. We had slept about 2 hours on a gym floor in Coalville; it was rather uncomfortable...Then we got up and got ready to run again.

I was so grateful to be able to run the race with my sister-in-law Mick. She is so fun and we have a great time together!

Do you see this hill? This is part of the gigantic hill I got to run up on my third leg.

I was very grateful to have my family there with me after my last run! They were so cute to cheer me on throughout my run. They are the best!

We were all finished running and it was such a good feeling. Once we got done with a run we began dreading the next run. It was such a relief to have all of our running over with!

Ragnar was such a neat race to run. I was so lucky to run it with amazing people, they were the ones who made it fun for me! The atmosphere of Ragnar was very positive, encouraging, and uplifting. What I loved was that it made running a team sport instead of an individual one; that was fun. I definitely want to do it again!
